Intervention Summary

The e-book vocabulary intervention with bridging to L1 (native language) is intended to target vocabulary growth in kindergarten and first-grade English learners (ELs). The program uses e-books with embedded instruction, including definitions, bridging to L1, repetitions, and morphology, to enhance vocabulary acquisition. The intervention is delivered via e-book three times a week, with each session lasting approximately 25 minutes. The program includes a preview of target words in English and Spanish, expansion with bridging provided in Spanish and English, visual representation of the target word's function, a word map with tiered support, and a final review.
