Reading Partners is a one-on-one tutoring program that targets elementary school students who are half a year to two and a half years below grade level in reading. The program uses community volunteers to provide individualized reading instruction to students in kindergarten through grade 5. The program's curriculum is structured and modularized, with each lesson following a consistent structure that includes a tutor read-aloud, introduction of a new skill or concept, and student application of the skill or concept. The program also uses data to inform instruction, with students being assessed three times a year using the Rigby PM Benchmark assessment.
